Freesias are petite flowers that comes in a variety of colours, ranging from white, yellow, violet, pink and red. It resembles a string of small bell-shaped flowers that rings off a delicate scent reminiscent of early spring. One has described the smell of Freesia as a tuneful musical composition, because of its harmonious blend of distinct notes; starting with a high-pitched citrusy jolt, followed by a deliciously sweet low-toned note, and balanced off with a woody medium blend of crushed leaves and grass.
